The Three Inch Fools are a five-strong troupe of actors equipped with all manner of musical instruments, performing their own highly imaginative and vibrantly musical take on Shakespeare's plays.

They will be bringing this year's production to a Herefordshire venue this month as they present Much Ado About Nothing at Butford Organics in Bodenham.

In a nutshell, it's a (not entirely straightforward) love story: Benedick and Beatrice don't love each other, then they do. Claudio and Hero love each other, then they don't, then they do again. And everyone lives happily ever after in this comedy of quarrels, deceptions and a frustratingly stupid man called Dogberry.

Over the last four years The Three Inch Fools have performed at over 100 different venues, to almost 35,000 audience members, establishing a reputation for staging innovative and vibrant productions - a fast-paced, musically-driven style, using all sorts of different instruments, plenty of multi-roling and many a quick costume change!

We perform Shakespeare in almost any kind of setting, both indoors and outdoors, and in all sorts of places. To date, we have performed Shakespeare at some of the UK's most stunning castles, stately homes and historic barns, National Trust and English Heritage properties, village greens, churches, cathedrals, market places, an old fire station, a medieval crypt, a garlic farm, a royal residence and even a seaside pier - all the world's a stage!

The Three Inch Fools present Much Ado About Nothing at Butford Organics in Bodenham on Thursday, August 8 at 7pm. Picnics welcome from 6pm. There will be a bar with the full range of Butford's organic products - sparkling perry, cider and apple juice. To book, visit
