A STRANDED lamb was rescued today by firefighters.
The animal rescue team from Bromyard and a boat crew from Hereford were called out this afternoon to the farm in Thornbury.
They were needed after the lamb had become stranded on an island in the middle of a pool on the farm.
A team of Water First Responders entered the water to search for the animal which was located under over grown bushes.
It was then brought to safety by the crew and safely returned to the flock none the worse for its ordeal.
