IT IS hoped a schoolgirl from Madley will be an inspiration for others after she donated her hair to charity,
Katy Corrick, 11, had her more than nine inches of her hair cut off in front of her whole school, as other pupils and staff came with 'crazy hair' and donated £1 to the Little Princess Trust.
So far Katy has raised more than £600 and is still counting as donations are still being received. She said she is really proud that she has managed to raise enough money to cover the cost of making a wig.
The charity provide free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
