The art group meets in Bredwardine village hall between 1pm and 4pm each Friday.  In July the dates are 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. The sessions are ‘drop in’ and cost £5 each week, which includes the cost of tea and biscuits.  Our members work at their own pace and with the media they prefer, so any week we might have oils, watercolours, pastels and acrylics all being used and this is a great way to be inspired by something new or just take a look.

On Friday, July 12th we have a mixed media workshop with artist Lesley Alexander.  We will be using techniques of collage and printing with inks, watercolour and acrylic paints.  It runs from 12:30 to 17:00 in the village hall.  There are still a couple of spaces available for non-members of the art club and these are priced at £30 to include coffee and cake.

In June, the art club raised £47 from the sale of four books on art given to us by the Finley Fund.  The Finley Fund has been set up by his family after four-year old Finley lost both feet and all his fingers and thumbs as a result of catching meningitis and sepsis in 2017.  The fund is to provide him with prosthetic hands as he grows.  We were thrilled to be able to help such a brave little boy.
