Here's a round-up of some of the planning applications sent to Herefordshire Council last week (July 1-7).

The Plantation, Aston Ingham

Proposals to replace a redundant barn with a new house have been submitted to planners. The agricultural building, built from corrugated tin, will be replaced by a timber clad, galvanized corrugated steel, four bedroom house if plans are approved.

Plans submitted to the council also show there would be new or altered vehicular access from the B4222.

Church Road, Brampton Abbotts, Ross-on-Wye

After an initial application for 10 houses on land south of Church Road, the applicant has resubmitted for seven dwellings. The three bedroom houses will each have a garage, should plans be approved.

The land is between Ross Road and St. Michael's Church, two new entrances to the plot will be created as part of the proposals. The finish of the dwellings will be brick and render, with concrete plain roof tiles and uPVC windows and doors.

72-80 Widemarsh Street, Hereford

Plans have been submitted to turn a redundant commercial building into residential apartments. The applicants wants to turn Sullivan House, formerly home to the Rural Media Company among others, into ten apartments, six with one bedroom and four with two.

The application shows the front facade will be improved, and some windows on the north and south of the building will be enlarged. The proposals also includes bin and cycle storage and five car parking spaces.

St Michaels Church, Hope Mansell

The church have applied for change of use from agricultural land to burial ground, for land near the existing churchyards. The land near the Grade II* listed building will see a new post and rail fence with stock proof wire constructed, if plans are approved.

The Green Farm, Hallwood Green, Dymock

Retrospective planning permission has been applied for after the homeowner started to build a tree house around an oak tree. Work started on the raised platform and treehouse/nature hide in April.

Bridge House, Church Road, Eardisley

Proposals to replace a ceiling damaged by flooding at a Grade II listed building have been submitted. The applicant will lath and plaster between existing joists with traditional materials.

The ceiling has already been removed due to waste water fouling and potential electrical hazard with lighting being in contact with water.
