A UNIQUE walking trail designed to take in the heritage, landscape and geology all around us is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Taking in four counties and 700 million years of geological history, the Geopark Way meanders through 109 miles of stunning countryside, starting in Bridgnorth and crossing through Herefordshire and Worcestershire before ending in Gloucester.

A decade after it was first established, a new and improved guide book has been launched to accompany the trail, telling the story of the landscape, heritage, culture and ecology of the four counties and guiding walkers every step of the way with maps, directions, descriptions, photographs and a handy glossary of terms.

To mark the anniversary, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust is inviting people to join them at the Market House in Ledbury for drinks and nibbles followed by a circular walk around the town, setting off from the Market House in Ledbury from 11am to 1pm on July 27.
