CHILDREN from Wellington Primary School and Nursery saw off competition from around the county to claim first place in a dance contest.
Eight children from Reception to Year 4 took part in the competition organised by PACES at Point 4 in Hereford.
They competed against children from 12 other county schools to scoop the top spot on June 12.
Headteacher Mrs Hughes said: "There was a fantastic range of dances performed by groups and individuals.
"All the children took part in a very professional manner, and the children thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
"We are all very proud of their achievements and look forward to participating again next year."
