ENTRIES to the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2019 are closed!

The judges now face the daunting task of sifting through a mountain of nominations to first find those worthy of shortlisting, and then the winners of our 12 categories.

We would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to put forward an individual or organisation for an award.

Already we have read some truly inspiring stories of devotion and selflessness from this vital industry with its legion of unsung heroes who do so much for us and the people we love.

The awards, which are now in their second year, will again salute outstanding work by individuals and teams in the health and social care sector across Herefordshire.

The 12 categories are: Care Team, Care Hero, Care Home Worker, Domiciliary Carer Worker, Good Nurse, Care Trainer, Dignity in Care, Dementia Carer, Palliative/End of Life, Mental Health Care, Care Employer and GP Practice of the Year.

Our headline sponsor is the University of Worcester, the region’s leading healthcare training provider.

A series of stories in the Hereford Times and special coverage on our website and social media has been promoting the awards and publicising those nominated.

Judging will take place soon, and there will be an awards ceremony in September at which the winners and runners-up will be revealed, followed by a special supplement in the Hereford Times highlighting all the successful entrants.
