NESTLED between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye, on the banks of the River Wye, lies Seabournes.
On Sunday, July 7 between 1pm - 5pm it will open as part of the St Michael's Hospice Open Gardens season.
The views from the property's 10-acre garden are just as impressive as those of it.
The gently sloping plot leads down towards the Wye as it winds its way southwards.
From here, a short flat path runs beside the river; a perfect spot to have a wander and gaze across the bucolic vista of fields and rolling countryside lying opposite.
Bring a picnic as there are numerous spots to enjoy lunch, perhaps beside the pond, overlooked by a shaded pagoda and surrounded by glorious acers and other fine trees and shrubs.
Sheltered areas are available should the weather be inclement.
Allow time to visit the 12th Century Fawley Chapel, a small place of worship next door to Seabournes which still holds occasional services.
