YEARS 4 and 6 of St Mary's C of E Primary School, Credenhill were recently visited by the Repeating History Company for their Anglo-Saxon/Viking day.
The children spent the day using replica swords, shield, spears, helmets, axes, chain mail, as well as bowls, spoons, a cooking pot, drinking horns, jewellery, clothing, shoes, coins and other items. Learning how the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings would have lived.
The children had the opportunity to grind grain in a quern milling stone, play strategy board games and learn how to handle the replica shield and spears.
The children had a great day and the school would like to thank the PTFA for contributing towards this wonderful learning experience.
