WITH almost all of the money now collected and allocated, City of Hereford Rotary have announced that this year's Duck Race has raised the remarkable sum of £8,382.

"We are delighted to have raised so much for our local and international charities, especially as, this year, the Duck Race was a stand-alone event without the support of the River Carnival going on

alongside," said club president Rob Soutar.

"But we couldn't have raised this amount without the fantastic backing we have received from our main sponsors the Clive and Sylvia Richards charity who have been so incredibly supportive of this venture.

"We are grateful to everyone who bought a ticket or sponsored a business duck and thank everyone who came along and supported us on the day.

"The City of Hereford Rotary Club Duck Race is now a fixture on the Hereford calendar and we shall look forward to raising more funds for our charities in 2020."

Unfortunately, this year's putting competition had to be called off due to the recent bad weather.

But the club has now started to look forward to the next Rotary year with new president Katie Farmer taking over from the current incumbent, Rob Soutar, at the end of the month.
