Ridgeway Avenue in Hereford is one of the streets affected.
A number of homes in Hereford are without power.
Properties in Hinton, Putson and Saxon Gate have been affected.
It is understood that the Tesco Express store and the Co-op, which are both on Holme Lacy Road, have also been left without electricity.
Western Power has told customers that normal service should resume between 2pm and 3pm today.
