A STUNNING Herefordshire venue rarely open to the public will welcome visitors one day early next month.
Homme House in Much Marcle is opening on Wednesday, July 3 (10am - 5.30pm) as part of the St Michael's Hospice Open Gardens programme.
The attractive Grade II listed property has opened for St Michael's in the past - most recently in 2017 - and this year there's added interest as, for the first time, a guided parkland walk around the elegant and beautiful estate is on offer.
Led by a member of the Finnigan family, who own the property, the visitor will learn all about a fascinating array of trees, particularly the numerous oaks, spread around the 110 acres of parkland.
Those attending can also wander around part of the Grade II listed house and step outside to tour its grounds including the two-acre walled garden and the unique, unaltered Grade I listed 17th century gothic summer house.
Garden walk places must be booked in advance at st-michaels-hospice.org.uk
There will also be refreshments and afternoon tea available to buy.
