Olympics hero-turned dancer Louis Smith teams up with fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Strictly finalist Rachel Stevens and Pussycat Doll’s star Melody Thornton for a spectacular new musical show.

They will star in Rip It Up The 70s - singing and dancing to the soundtrack of some amazing pop and rock.

The show stops off at The Sands Centre, Carlisle in October later this year.

Former Olympics gymnastic silver medallist and Strictly winner Louis has appeared in previous Rip It Up shows about the Fifties and Sixties.

He said: “Every night during the Rip It Up tours I tell people these shows are the hardest thing I have ever done – even harder than competing at the Olympics and Strictly.

“I’m not sure everyone believes me, but I’m telling the truth.”

Former S Club 7 star Rachel added: “I am so excited to be joining the cast. Dancing has played such an important role in my life.

“Like Louis, Strictly was one of the best experiences of my life, so I’m really looking forward to being involved in such an amazing production. And what’s not to love about the music and fashion of the 1970s? It’s going to so much fun.”

Melody reached the final three of ITV’s Dancing on Ice in 2019.

She said: “Singing, dancing, ‘70s pop culture and fashions are lifelong passions of mine, so I jumped at the chance to appear in Rip It Up The 70s.”
