The art group meets in Bredwardine village hall between 1pm and 4pm each Friday.  In June the dates are 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. The sessions are ‘drop in’ and cost £5 each week, which includes the cost of tea and biscuits.  Our members work at their own pace and with the media they prefer, so any week we might have oils, watercolours, pastels and acrylics all being used and this is a great way to be inspired by something new or just take a look.

Our Bluebell Wood exhibition remains in place throughout June and into the summer so there’s still time to see it.  We also continue to exhibit paintings at the Beer in Hand microbrewery in Eign Street, Hereford and one of our members, Kari Lawson recently presented an oil portrait, ‘Giant Killers’ of Colin Addison and Dudley Tyler to the men themselves at Hereford Football Club.  It depicts the two players after their epic victory against Newcastle United on February 5th 1972 at the Edgar Street Ground and was produced with thanks to the Derek Evans Heritage Trust, from where the picture came.

Looking ahead the group have a number of workshops planned with professional artists.  On Monday, June 24th there is a full day, oil painting, seascape workshop with Hereford based artist Marina Morris.  And on Friday, July 12th we have a full day, mixed media and ink workshop with artist Lesley Alexander.
