Join Angus Deayton, Helen Atkinson Wood, Michael Fenton Stevens and Philip Pope as they reunite to present a live version of classic radio comedy show, Radio Active at The Courtyard this May.

Based on the sketch show created during their years in the Oxford Revue, Radio Active was originally written by Angus Deayton and Geoffrey Perkins. The show was then adapted for BBC Radio 4, and ran for 53 award winning episodes across 7 series throughout the 1980’s.

Angus Deayton founded his career on Radio Active which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 between 1981 and 1987. He has since had a successful career as an actor, writer, musician, comedian and broadcaster. Perhaps best known for hosting comedy panel show Have I Got News For You for over a decade, he also played Victor Meldrew's long-suffering neighbour Patrick Trench in the comedy series One Foot in the Grave, and George Windsor in the final three series of Waterloo Road.

Radio Active is presented in the form of two half-hour episodes comprising sketches, songs and on-air gossip that didn’t make it into the original series.

Radio Active will be in The Courtyard’s Main House on Thursday, May 30 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
