TEAMWORK is the key to providing a first-rate service for clients of Katherine Harriet bespoke home care.

The firm's professional staff look after people living with dementia, mental, physical or learning disabilities and frailty.

They provide palliative, end-of-life and stroke support, as well as post-hospital rehabilitation, and they consider wellbeing and life enrichment just as important as daily care.

Not surprisingly, perhaps, they have been nominated as best Care Team in the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards.

Becky Tilby, who put them forward for the accolade, said: "Katherine Harriet work with love, care and compassion. They deliver a high standard of care, ensuring that the client is put first."

Becky emphasises the efforts Katherine Harriet makes to allow people to stay in their own homes.

She says: "Clients and families have a continuity of staff and establish relationships with them. This enables the staff to identify risks and ensure clients are kept safe."

The awards, which launched last month and now in their second year, will again salute outstanding work by individuals and teams in the health and social care sector across Herefordshire.

The 12 categories are: Care Team, Care Hero, Care Home Worker, Domiciliary Worker, Good Nurse, Outstanding Contribution to Social Care, Care Trainer, Dignity in Care, Dementia Carer, Palliative/End of Life, Mental Health Care and Care Employer.

Our headline sponsor is the University of Worcester, the region’s leading healthcare training provider.

A series of supplements in the Hereford Times and special coverage on our website and social media will promote the awards and publicise those shortlisted.

The climax will be an awards ceremony in September when the winners and runners-up are revealed, followed by a special supplement in the Hereford Times highlighting all the successful entrants.
