BOARD game fanatic or fancy trying your hand at something new?

All are welcome at the Herefordshire Board Gamers' fourth annual charity board game event, taking place from 11am until late on May 18, at The Core, Hereford.

Following on from last year's event, which saw 80 people take part and raised £1,750, organisers hope this year's event will raise £2,000 for mental hea;th charity, Herefordshire Mind.

From Dungeons and Dragons and Call of Cthulu role play games to nostalgic classics, the event promises something for everyone.

The team have also been hard at work creating three truly immersive life-sized games.

"We are seeing a huge resurgence in gaming and role play games, which are becoming more mainstream," a group spokesperson said.

"In an age of technology it's nice to do things face-to-face. We also raise funds for Mind as it fits with our ethos of providing a cheap, fun, and inclusive social evening out even for those who aren't good at socialising."
