The Makeshift Ensemble present I Am Turtle at The Courtyard as part of The Courtyard's Family Saturdays.

Discover the ancient song of the Sea Turtles as they guide audiences through ship wrecks and sea shells, to sing their song anew when the future of their underwater world is in peril from plastics and beasts of the deep.

The MakeShift Ensemble started out life in 2005 as MakeShift Theatre and explores physical ensemble performance in all its forms as a tool for engaging, affecting and passing on the story. In an age of uncertainty and change they aim to incite small acts of revolution through live theatre; connecting with audiences young and old to deliver messages alongside a large dollop of enjoyment.

I Am Turtle is a tale to enchant listeners young and old, an enthralling delve into the great oceans to hear Turtle's story and what we can do to take care of their home.

As part of The Courtyard Family Saturdays, I Am Turtle will be preceded by a free, pre-show activity where families can get involved in making a turtle out of recycled bottles.

I Am Turtle will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Saturday, May 11 at 11am. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
