ROSS-ON-WYE Fire Station have issued a warning to tip-goers following a skip fire this morning.
Fire crews were called to reports of a fire at Ross tip earlier today.
The site was closed while crews worked with staff onsite to empty and cool the skip.
The burning rubbish was quickly extinguished and tip staff were able to reopen the site shortly after.
Firefighters are calling on members of the public to ensure they only put the correct waste in the skips provided in order to avoid further incidents.
