THE Hereford Rail Male Voice Choir is holding its 24th Annual Concert on Saturday, May 18 at 7.30pm, at Holy Trinity Church, Whitecross Road, Hereford.

For the first time the Marches Military Wives Choir have agreed to appear as guests where they will accompany the rail choir on at least one song as well their rendition of songs their choosing.

The rail choir has had another busy year with concerts throughout the county and within the city.

They entertained audiences at their annual carol concert in the Holy Trinity church in December, as well as Bromyard, Moreton on Lugg, Brimfield and most recently Yatton.

Further concerts are planned locally as well as Leominster, Risbury and Worcester in the forthcoming months.

The choir is fully booked through to next year and bookings for concerts are now been taking for 2121.

The annual concert provides the showcase for new material recently learnt, a tribute to Matt Monroe being the most recent.

The choir continues to be led by musical director Derek Gough assisted at concerts by accompanists Sandra Gale.

Cath Evans has recently retired from the post of accompanist and as a result the choir are in need for someone to take over her role.
