One-day needle felting workshop with Karin Celestine 
Make needle-felted garden birds at Blue Ginger Gallery as part of their Marquee of Making. You’ll be taken through the process from a blob of fluff to a creature with character and charm. The workshop will cover all the basics of how to needle felt, using wire, features, ears, types of wool and needles and equipment. Next course takes place on Sunday, June 30, 10am to 4pm.

Basketmaking with Jenny Crisp
Jenny’s courses vary from year to year. For 2019 there are one, two and three day courses that cover both indoor and outdoor products. These projects range in skill level but are still suitable for beginners unless otherwise stated. Tools, willow materials and lunch are all included in the course fee.

Quilting workshops with Bee-spoke Quilts 
Over the course of a day you will learn how to make a lap quilt from start to finish. Learn how to rotary cut fabrics, machine piece, attach borders, fix layers and bind your finished quilt.

Create your own silk screen prints with Royal College of Art graduate and Elle Decoration’s ‘Name to Watch’, Sunny Todd, in the spacious Ledbury-based Sunny Todd Prints studio. Indian Cookery with Rayeesa
Rayeesa will take you through all the essentials of cooking a great tasting traditional Indian meal. You will look at ingredients, where to buy, what to look out for and how best to store for optimum benefits. You will be taught traditional and modern methods of how to prepare your dishes. Jewellery making with Melissa Hunt
From her purpose-built studio in Brampton Bryan, Melissa offers a range of workshops making, among other things, stacking bangles and a spinner ring. From July 8 to 12, she will hold a Summer School for beginners, in which participants will build a foundation of traditional bench skills before adding ring making, stone setting, and chain making. Melissa also runs a weekly evening class.

Linocut for everyone at The Print Shed, Madley
This is a good course for those who wish to re-visit this wonderful medium. Complete beginners are also most welcome. 
If you have never done any lino cut before, tutor Jill Barneby will lead you through designing and cutting a single block and demonstrate how to make several different coloured prints from this. Then learn how they can be imaginatively printed in different ways.
The blocks are printed on The Print Shed antique relief press. It will be possible for participants to make a small edition of prints.

Glasbury Arts Harp Summer School
For harpists from beginners to advanced, the summer school runs from Wednesday, August 28 to Saturday, August 31.
This year’s tutors will be Harriet Earis (the summer school’s director of music, jazz and Celtic harps), Eleanor Turner (classical harpist) and Adriano Sangineto (Continental Dance and Folk Music).
Four groups - advanced, intermediate, young developing harpists and beginners - will see beginners taught by the summer school's assistant tutors and the other three groups working with the three main tutors. The summer school ends with a concert given by students and tutors.
