Young people from across the county forged metal trees as part of a contemporary art exhibition near Leominster.

The Supported Housing for Young People Project (SHYPP) worked with Herefordshire New Leaf to create the display inspired by young people's own connections to nature.

After eight weeks of hard work, the art was displayed at Queenswood Country Park on Tuesday with dozens of people turning up to see the exhibition.

New Leaf aim to help people save energy and live more sustainably and it's hoped the exhibition will help "discover the nature in us all."

The organisation will ensure the work will be included in the young people's nature project at Queenswood, one of the first projects to be funded by the Herefordshire's A Great Place initiative.

Over the next three years, the scheme will work with various groups to put culture at the heart of life in Herefordshire, co-funded by Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund.

It will be officially launched in the summer.
