Catcher Media’s brand new film Herefordshire Life Through a Lens: Carousel is coming to Ledbury’s Market Theatre, next week.

It gives a haunting glimpse of the county as it was, within living memory.

A spokesman said: “After a packed movie premiere at the Courtyard in Hereford for Borderlines Film Festival, the film is now touring county venues.

Carousel creates a record of Herefordshire memories, told by its people, that reveal the county’s colourful character and history.

“It explores scores of fascinating stories, inspired by photographer Derek Evans and the archive he left behind for the county. Scrolling though photos, Carousel’s interviewees recall moments from their childhoods, tales about relatives and youthful escapades, often funny and irreverent - there’s a real sense of verve and an enjoyment of life.”

The date for the diary is Thursday April 18.

But the spokesman added: “If you miss Ledbury’s April screening, there will be a return visit on Wednesday June 19.
