Local audiences will have the chance to experience a band, whose performance Chris Evans declared "the best gig I've ever been to", as 80s chart toppers The Christians play live at The Regal.

Renowned for an endless string of soulful yet socially aware hits, including Forgotten Town, Ideal World, Harvest for The World, Hooverville and The Bottle among them, The Christians enjoyed huge acclaim in the last 80s and early 90s, both in the UK and Europe.

Currently playing a huge UK tour, revisiting their well-known back catalogue and one or two favourites from new albums, the band are appearing at The Regal for one night only on Thursday, April 18.

Still headed by enigmatic lead singer Garry Christian, who was described by one leading music critic as having 'one of the finest voices in pop' and who 'has only gained in vocal stature and wit over the years', the band are currently enjoying a revival.

The Christians, with support from a local band, play The Regal in Tenbury Wells on Thursday, April 18 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01584 811442 or visit regaltenbury.co.uk
