The award-winning and highly acclaimed band Le Vent du Nord is a leading force in Quebec’s progressive francophone folk movement, and never fail to delight crowds with their glorious mix of fiddle and foot-tapping, guitar, accordion, piano, bass, hurdy-gurdy and wonderful four-part harmonies. The band delivers catchy songs and tunes, drawn from both traditional sources and original compositions and their well-polished musical arrangements simply enhance this uplifting repertoire.

Le Vent du Nord consists of singers and multi-instrumentalists Nicolas Boulerice, Simon Beaudry, Olivier Demers, Réjean Brunet and new member Andre Brunet, formerly of La Bottine Souriante and De Temps Antan. On stage, the friends have an easy rapport and create a joyful and dynamic performance that expand the bounds of tradition.

Formed in 2002, Le Vent du Nord have enjoyed meteoric success, performing in five continents and racking up several prestigious awards, including a Grand Prix du Disque Charles Cros, two Junos (Canada’s Grammys), a Félix at ADISQ, a Canadian Folk Music Award, and “Artist of the Year” at the North American Folk Alliance Annual Gala.
