CARE Heroes is a recruitment campaign supported by Herefordshire Council to highlight the positive aspects of working in the care industry, and encourage more people to take up a career in adult social care.

The campaign aims to change attitudes about working in care and to help people discover a career where they can make a huge difference to the lives of local people, while gaining the skills and confidence to ensure our local population is safe and happy, now and in the future.

The campaign has a Care Heroes website and Twitter and Facebook accounts where people can find more information about working in adult social care and the wide variety of roles on offer.

There are also details about current job vacancies, training opportunities, career progression and recruitment events.

The campaign team has also worked with 20 local social care employees to produce honest and informative videos for the website that explain about what it’s like to be a care worker.

Working in care is so much more than personal care and the videos give these workers the chance to tell you themselves about what an incredible and rewarding career it can be.

Herefordshire’s care workforce is an army of heroes that enhance the lives of thousands of local people every day, supporting them to keep their independence and to live happy and fulfilled lives.
