NUFFIELD Heath Hereford Hospital, which is sponsoring the Good Nurse Award at the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2019, is Private Hospital Group of the Year winner at the Health Investor Awards.
The hospital is half a mile from the city centre, and is a modern facility offering exceptional private healthcare to the local community.
It offers a vast range of first-class medical and surgical services performed by expert consultants.
Its specialisms include eye care, orthopaedics and cosmetic surgery.
Nuffield is constantly investing in new facilities. It has recently refurbished its day care suite and opened a new mammography unit.
The hospital takes pride in the high standards of care and treatment its patients receive.
It has 20 en suite bedrooms, two operating theatres, seven consulting rooms, an ophthalmic suite, day care suite and ambulatory care unit.
A hospital spokesman said: "Some say we are specialists in health and wellbeing. We think of ourselves as specialists in you."
Last year the Good Nurse Award was won posthumously by Jan Best.
She had worked in the health industry for 40 years and looked after many patients in the NHS and at the Nuffield Hospital.
Her dedication was such that she continued working when being treated for cancer – and even turned in for afternoon shifts having had chemotherapy in the morning.
She died in December 2017, aged 63, and her husband Mike and daughter Stephannie accepted the award in her memory.
