This profile is in support Rotherwood Healthcare, one of our Health and Social Care Awards 2019 sponsors

ROTHERWOOD Healthcare are sponsoring the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards for the second year running, and as finalists in nine categories of the National Care Home Awards themselves there are few better placed to understand just how important entering awards such as these really is.

John Fennell, chief executive of Rotherwood Healthcare, commented on the sponsorship of the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards, saying: “Entering awards is something that we’ve only really just started doing ourselves, and we probably became more aware of the opportunities available having sponsored these awards last year.

“Seeing the sheer amount of talented individuals and businesses who entered last year was incredibly inspiring to us, and we’re really looking forward to being involved again this year too.  To be able to sponsor the Dignity in Care Award category is a huge honour, and is something that is incredibly close to our hearts because it speaks very strongly into our company’s ethos of setting a new standard in healthcare.

“The award is open to either an individual or team and recognises the very best work being undertaken in our community, where the dignity of the patient is at the forefront of the service provided.  I would certainly urge anyone interested in entering to find out more or just to pop in a nomination.

“With just three questions to answer in no more than 500 words it’s a very accessible nomination form.

“Speaking for ourselves, I know that entering and being acknowledged as finalists in an award, let alone winning, gives such a huge boost to the business and staff alike not to mention those we care for and their families.

“As they say, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, so get entering and the very best of luck to you!”
