LAST week Dianne Gibson, an organiser from home-start Herefordshire, held a relaxed workshop session with the mums at the Kington Family Group.
The group is run by Tam Thomas, family group coordinator, she said: "We talked about budgeting and shopping lists.
"We also did a food testing exercise, comparing branded foods to non-branded foods.
"It was a lot of fun and showed the mums how they could make changes to their weekly budget."
