ALL the hard work and dedication is paying off for two young Hereford dancers who are top of their league in the UK.

Jade Spencer & Sophia Griffith-Walker, both 14, are a Ballroom & Latin duo who have been competing on the national circuit for just over a year.

And having done well in their first season the 2019 round has started off brilliantly for them, with the girls top of the Latin league.

The girls started their dance careers at the Hereford-based Nicola's School of Dance, competing on the UKA Circuit, winning both their age categories.

They then decided they needed a new challenge and to compete regularly all over the country.

They had private lessons with both Daniella & David Trueman from Dancetastic Academy Wolverhampton and decided to move dance schools.

They are now competing on a national level against the top all-girl couples in the country.

They practise twice a week at the Halo centre and then get up early on Saturdays for three-hour sessions at Wolverhampton before trips all over the country on a Sunday for competitions.

In their first year in the National League they finished 15th out of 113 in Latin and 11th out of 80 in Ballroom.

The girls are looking for sponsorship or donations to further their career. If you help or want them to perform at an event or function contact Sophia's mum at hayleygw40@googlemail.com
