BURGER King's arrival in Hereford's High Town looks imminent as planning permission is granted.
County planners yesterday approved a change of use application submitted by the burger giant in December, granting planning permission for a new restaurant at a vacant High Town unit.
The fast food company said the double-fronted former Lakeland store, which has been empty since May of last year, will offer sufficient space for 112 covers in its ground floor customer area.
Burger King said if planning approval was given there would be 50 full-time employees at the restaurant.
The restaurant hours will be 6am to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
