Nozstock is one of the UK’s longest running festivals. Set on a beautiful working farm, it is family-run, home-made and proudly independent, and it's back for its 21st edition this summer.

It’s a gloriously eccentric and decadently off-kilter brain-shift with incredible detail at every turn. A small festival with a big heart which continues to chart its own path, far away from commercialism and following the flock. Nozstock transcends the classic festival experience, creating its own sense of community and escapism for a few precious days. The Nosworthy family curate one of the UK’s finest portfolios of music and arts, with a huge focus on keeping families entertained in the Little Wonderland Kids’ Area. Now they very proudly reveal the first wave of artists joining them this summer in Bromyard, with this year’s theme across the whole site being The Wizard of Noz, so everyone can get really creative!

Rudimental are the hottest collective out there right now - their DJ sets have festivals and clubs rocking every time. Growing up on everything from grime to jazz, hip-hop to house, their party sets are legendary. Headlining Sunday night is Soul II Soul. Led by the acclaimed producer, vocalist and songwriter Jazzie B, the innovative dance outfit create seductively deep R&B, with their classic hits Back To Life and Keep On Movin’ still huge today. Next up, The Skatalites are an institution of top-notch musicians who didn't just define the sound of Jamaica, but were the sound of Jamaica across the '50s and '60s, whilst for over 40 years David Rodigan MBE has been the top dog in the bass heavy-atmosphere of Britain's reggae dance-halls. The wonderful Hollie Cook makes delicious cosmic/tropical pop, and Elvana: Elvis Fronted Nirvana tear through Nirvana’s catalogue while splicing in grunged-up sections of Elvis’s finest moments.

Oh My God! It’s The Church want everyone to repent their sins, while Henge fuse elements from electronic dance music, prog and psychedelia. King Kong Company create a mighty sweat-soaked electronic buzz and The Carny Villains are known for their raucous blend of stomping swing, ska and Balkan-style folk. Further acts include Rob Heron and The Tea Pad Orchestra, Swamp Candy, Junior Bill, Stiff Joints and loads more.

With two decades at the forefront of electronic music, there’s no question that DJ Zinc + SP:MC is one of dance music’s most respected pioneers. He features in Nozstock’s electronic line-up alongside Turno, the passionate Italian and purveyor of brutal basslines; Notion, one of basslines most prominent new artists; A.Skillz a true party-starter behind the turntables; and Randall, who is, quite simply the DJ’s DJ. Further artists performing include UK hip-hop royalty Jam Baxter, Dabbla, Skinnyman, Joe Burn & Skitz, Featurecast, Boom Sound Takeover ft. Prince Fatty & Horseman and more.

Over in The Cubicles, converted cowshed and original raver’s haven,, Nozstock’s famed bastion of bass-beats once more serves up some of the finest names around. Returning after their last takeover in 2015, Hospitality’s Friday night features some of the label’s biggest and brightest stars, including Kings of The Rollers, Danny Byrd, Keeno, Unglued, Inja and Carasel. Saturday welcomes A.M.C, Ed Rush and Benny L b2b Shimon, Octo Pi, Nu: Motive Takeover and Kanine with hosts Remidy MC and Phantom.

There’s plenty more action across the festival’s seven other stages. There’s Elephant’s Grave and 10 years of Whartone Records, with label head Sonny Wharton plus Dom Kane, Dirty Secretz, Luke Stanger, Kid Cut, House Meanz House, Data Transmission presents Shanghaied, Subwork Takeover and Emotion Takeover. On Bandstand there are some amazing live artists including Sam Brookes, Frauds, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Rainbow Maniac and Medicine Creek. The Altered State features artistic interactions, cultural investigations, comedic adventures and cabaret. Little Wonderland provides weekend-long fun and games for kids of all ages. All kids’ activities are included in the festival ticket price, part of Nozstock’s family-friendly philosophy. Follow the yellow brick road...
