After breaking box office records in 2018, David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers will produce the 2019 UK tour of the Old Vic production of Yasmina Reza’s Olivier, Tony and Moliere award-winning comedy ART, translated by Christopher Hampton.

When Serge spends an extortionate amount of money on an all white modernist painting, his close friends Marc and Yvan are baffled. But does their violent reaction to this provocative canvas mirror more dangerous antagonisms towards each other? Yasmina Reza’s dazzling study of friendship, prejudice and tolerance is a masterpiece.

David Pugh said, “Dafydd [Rogers] and I have been privileged to produce Yasmina Reza's modern comedy masterpiece for over twenty years now. It is no exaggeration to call it one of the most successful plays of all time, and we are excited to bring this production to even more audiences throughout the country on its 2019 tour.”

Based on the original production by Matthew Warchus, ART will be directed by Ellie Jones, with design by Mark Thompson, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Mic Pool, original music by Gary Yershon, fight direction by Terry King and casting by Sarah Bird CDG.

ART will be on stage at Malvern Theatres from Monday, February 25 to Saturday, March 2. To book, call the box office on 01684 892277 or visit
