FUNDRAISER, Allan Lloyd's Waterfall Charity Challenge to raise awareness and support for St Michael's Hospice, proceeds with momentum.

With a demanding target to visit 100 Welsh Waterfalls he has now claimed his 75th waterfall in the area to the west of Talybont-on-Usk Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

In late January Allan walked four miles from Blaen y Glyn Isaf, following the waterfalls and cascades along the River Caerfanell, eventually crossing to the Nant Bwrefwr valley below the impressive Craig y Fan Ddu which at the time was clad in snow.

Although the most recent waterfall walk proved deserted, except for his walking companion, Allan wishes to invite fellow walkers to approach him on his future waterfall journeys and make themselves known. He will next be visiting waterfalls in the areas of Barmouth in Gwynedd and Devil's Bridge in Ceredigion.

When Allan's 100 Welsh Waterfall Challenge has been realised, he hopes that promises of donations to Herefordshire's hospice will be forthcoming.

Allan is hoping to raise the equivalent of £50 for each waterfall visited - a total of £5000.
