A COUNTY care company is celebrating success after fifth care home is rated as 'Outstanding'.

Deeming the service safe, effective, very caring, very responsive and very well led, inspectors from the Care Quality Commission praised the consistent "very supportive and compassionate care" received by residents at Coldwells House in Hereford

The result of the November inspection follows hot on the heels of the company's success at its other residential care locations across the county.

Herefordshire Care Homes' other properties, Charnwood Country Residence, Dulas Court, Highwell House and Whitegates have all attained "Outstanding" ratings from the CQC in the last three years.

Chief Executive Karen Rogers said: "We've had a fantastic year, with five of our homes now rated as 'Outstanding' by the CQC and one rated as 'Good'.

"We're delighted to have achieved an 'Outstanding' rating for five out of the six homes in our group, which means that we are now rated among the top one per cent of care homes in the country.

"Herefordshire Care Homes has received recognition for providing great care to a consistent, really high standard and our commitment to making sure that people really enjoy life at our homes.

"This is an incredible achievement and testament to every single person who works in our care homes."
