The art group is moving studio through January and February.  We are still meeting on Fridays between 1pm and 4pm but we are relocating to Staunton Village Hall.  January dates are 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th.  Bring your own materials to the Friday sessions but be inspired by what others are doing too.  The art group operates on a drop-in basis; it costs £5 a week to participate and this includes the cost of tea and biscuits.

It’s the start of our third year in existence, and in those three years we have grown in number and widened our sphere of influence.  We have had eight workshops from professional artists using pastels, oil paints and watercolour and already have a number planned for 2019.  We enjoyed days out at an international watercolour exhibition and other galleries and worked in our studio in Bredwardine and en-plein air.  Our work has been exhibited in several local villages and continues to be on show at the Beer in Hand Microbrewery in Hereford.  We contributed to a national exhibition of paintings of poppies to mark Remembrance Day and sold out of all the 2019 Art Club Calendars.

It’s been a very successful time and we look forward to 2019.  If you are interested or would like more information about the Art Club, please ring Kari Lawson on 01981 501077 or Brenda Taylor on 07855 143048.
