Please join us for an evening of ‘good health’, which is our modern translation of the Anglo-Saxon word Wassail, Meet in the Red Lion car park at 6.30pm on Saturday 19th January.  We will light torches and proceed to the orchard to perform the ceremony.  The Foxwhelp Morris Dancers will dance.  We will proceed up to the village hall and do a few more dances, followed on by a Mummer’s Play, which is a traditional English folk play popular in the 18-19th centuries.  There will be drinks for purchase on the night plus nibbles at no charge.  What’s not to like?  Why not plan on attending?
