A WOMAN was rescued from the River Wye in Hereford this afternoon.
The Fire Service was called to a report of a person in the river near Hereford's Victoria footbridge at 12.39pm by police officers on the scene.
A Fire Service spokesman said that a fire engine from Hereford and a water response team from Bromyard attended.
One woman was rescued from the water and was conveyed to hospital by ambulance after receiving treatment at the scene.
