Our market and coffee morning will be held on Friday, January 11th from 10 am until noon, in the Bredwardine & Brobury Village Hall.   There’s always someone to chat with, find out what’s going on in the village or just browse the stalls. You’ll find homemade cards for birthdays, anniversaries, many featuring birds, flowers and wildlife; crafts including table mats, purses, hats and other fabric items; bric-a-brac a.k.a. “treasures” and home baked cakes plus fresh eggs so there’s something there for everyone.  You will also find fresh, local beef and lamb, both lupin-fed, from the Great British Meat Box and Allensmore, all for purchase.  Treat yourself to Fairtrade cafetiere coffee or a range of traditional, green or fruit teas (still only 80p per cup) and a delicious slice of home-made cake. There’s a £1 fee to sellers for a table and no need to book in advance; just turn up on the Friday.  The hall is open for setup by 9am on the day.  If you do have a query, you can contact Sarah Morgan on 01981 500155 or Philip Bauer on 01981 500398.  Hope to see you there.

Hereford food bank

At each market we collect canned or dried foodstuffs and everyday items such as toothpaste, soap and toilet tissue for Hereford Food Bank. This is a charitable organization that is committed to the relief of poverty in Hereford and the surrounding area through the provision of emergency food parcels to individuals and families who are in serious and sudden hardship.  You can help by bringing a small donation to the market and leaving it on the collection table.  We have started a rota of helpers to take our donations to Hereford once a month. If you could help transport groceries to Hereford, please contact Sarah Morgan on 01981 500115.  Thank you for your support!
