WRITER and poet Huw Parsons has made Hereford the focus of his first foray into podcasts.
Huw, who is perhaps best known for his books 'Planet Hay' and 'A Brecon Revealed,' has two programmes on the website concerning the county.
The first is simply called 'Hereford' and is made up from Huw's diary entries and recently made location recordings.
Some of the places Huw tells us about are the Job Centre, Cathedral, the Courtyard, British Heart Foundation charity shop and the Post Office.
Huw has also included a piece about Canon Pyon and Weobley in his Christmas podcast trailer, telling of a visit he made there a while back in search of the origins of 'The Herefordshire Carol'.
And there is a version of this old song played on the electric guitar by Huw's friend David Cooper Orton.
To see and hear the podcasts, google huwspodcast.wordpress.com or simply the name Huw Parsons to find his general website, peevishbeebooks etc, where the podcast link is at the top of the home page.
