A CYCLIST is fighting for his after an accident with a lorry. 

Police said that the accident involved a cyclist and a DAF LF lorry at 4.20pm hours yesterday on Walwyn Road, Upper Colwall, Malvern.

Officers said this afternoon: "The collision is believed to have occurred as the cyclist was cycling downhill along Walwyn Road and the lorry was travelling uphill in the opposite direction.

"The cyclist has wobbled and it is believed he collided into the side of the lorry before tumbling down the road."

The cyclist suffered a suspected head injury and was taken by ambulance to Strensham then by air ambulance to University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment.

He is currently in a life-threatening condition in ITU.

The lorry driver was uninjured.
