CLIENTS of home care company Kemble at Home were treated to a traditional Christmas lunch recently. For some clients, who will spend their Christmas alone this year, the lunch was extra special.
A group of clients, some family members for ex-clients, and a few Kemble at Home staff members were spoiled with a hearty lunch at the Monument pub in Hereford.
They were treated to a traditional Christmas dinner that included turkey, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, sprouts and vegetables, followed by Christmas pudding with custard.
Laura Cook, from Kemble at Home: "Among the guests was the husband of one of our former clients, who sadly passed away last year. It was very special to be able to share a joyful Christmas lunch with him. There was even an ex-staff member who joined us because she still knew some of the clients she had looked after before she moved to London."
"It was a lovely afternoon - some of our clients can hardly leave the house during the year. It was great to see them all so happy and enjoying themselves. A huge thank you to Liza Gawler who has arranged this for the second year running. She went around at the end giving all the clients a small gift for them to take home. She really is a carer who puts her clients first and goes above and beyond."
