The Friends of St Andrew’s 100 Club draw took place in the Red Lion Inn on Thursday, December 6th. Jean Rea won first prize of £100 with ticket number 17. Second prize of £50 was won by Ruben Florence with ticket number 106. Andrew and Ildiko Head won third prize of £25 with ticket number 20. The In It To Win It Prize of £10 was won by Gordon Faux
The Rev'd Luci Morriss drew the numbers for us, and, on behalf of St. Andrew's PCC, accepted the 100 Club's donation cheque for £1,500 for the year. Our donation last year was spent on maintenance work to the fabric of the Church following the Quinquennial Review. Next year our money will go towards the installation of a mini-kitchen in the belltower.
As always, a very happy evening was spent in the Red Lion, with curry and chips - thanks to Mike and the team. With a log fire and the Christmas decorations, this was the beginning of Christmas for the villages!
The next draw is on Thursday, January 3rd and, as usual, it takes place at 8pm in the Red Lion Inn, which opens at 6:30 and serves a curry buffet every draw night. Contact Jen Maddison on 01981 500048 for details and further information about the club.
