NEW Holmer WI president Mary Burgess led her first meeting with wit and aplomb, introducing and participating in a selection of seasonal sketches which raised more than a few smiles among members and guests alike.
Michael Graver played the organ while his wife Maureen, Holmer WI committee member, led the carol singing.
The next meeting of the Holmer WI will be on January 2 in St Mary's Church, Grandstand Road at 7.30pm.
Mary Burgess will be talking about The Order of St John.
Members invite all ladies to make a date in their 2019 diaries and go along and join in.
