EDGAR Street in Hereford is closed in both directions following a serious crash.
Police said the road is closed from the Tesco/ Debenhams roundabout.
The road is also closed from the Pizza Hut roundabout southbound.
Residents are being allowed out from the side streets onto Edgar Street.
West Mercia OCC said on Twitter: "Good Morning from Team A. Police and Ambulance are dealing with a serious RTC on Edgar Street that has necessitated the closure of the road at the Tesco Roundabout.
"This will bring gridlock at this time of the morning."
While SouthsideCops said: "RTC Edgar Street Hereford. Edgar Street North Bound from Tesco Roundabout is closed due to an RTC. Expect delays. "
