PHOTOGRAPHS taken throughout the year featured in the recent 'Impressions of Breinton' photo competition.

The event was hosted by Breinton Village Hall and altogether featured 70 images taken within the parish boundary.

The winning images were judged by renowned photographer John Bulmer who presented the prizes assisted by Phil Chapman.

It formed part of a 'pop-up' café where tea, cakes and refreshments were available together with produce made by members of the village hall quilting group.

The winning images included 'Breinton Common Chubb in River Wye', the ghostly 'Poor Rose' in Breinton Churchyard and 'January Sunset from Breinton Mission Hall'.

In addition there was a fourth winner of Nesting Swallows that was the 'people's choice' in which all who attended could vote for their preferred picture.

Prizes were of John Bulmer's book Wind of Change, a framed picture of Hereford, and Landscapes of the Year celebration, as well as a voucher for use at London Camera Exchange.

Those attending judged the event as being highly successful, and are looking forward to a new competition to take place over the coming year.
