On Sunday, December 9 at 3pm there will be a concert at Hellens Manor in Much Marcle featuring piano music for four hands. The musicians Allan Schiller and John Humphreys, as well as having distinguished solo careers, have also had a long-established and celebrated duo partnership. Their mastery of the keyboard is undeniable and they bring with their technical prowess a level of artistry and depth of feeling which, so often, only increases with maturity. This concert of beautiful music in the lovely setting of Hellens includes some of the most sublime music ever written for piano duo and is sure to delight. Included in the programme are two works by Mozart, his Piano Sonata in C major K521 and his Fantasie in F minor K594; Schubert’s Fantasie in F minor D940; Ravel’s enchanting ‘Mother Goose’ Suite; and works by Brahms and Hindemith. Tickets available from The Courtyard on 01432 340555 and online at courtyard.org.uk
