DINEDOR Village Hall officially opened its new extension at a meeting of villagers on November 10.

The extension will provide much needed additional space at the hall, and is part of a process of upgrades to the hall originally built in 1993.

The new part of the hall was opened by Mrs Myrtle Middleton who was a driving force behind the original building of the hall, and by Tim Howson who with the current management committee chairman, Marlene Kitto, successfully sought out grants for the building work.

The extension was funded with the support of the Big Lottery Fund, Dinedor Parish Council, Dinedor Sports, the Garfield Weston Foundation, the Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation, and the Severn Waste Welcome to our Future fund.

Further upgrades to the hall are now being planned aiming to further improve facilities both for parishioners and hirers and at providing an attractive venue for local company events.
