A WONDERFUL, evocative and emotive exhibition was held in Withington Church for nine days up to and including Remembrance Sunday.

A team of friends from an informal craft group in the village worked together to create this event, and spread their net far and wide to include photos, information and artefacts from numerous outside sources, including the Herefordshire Light Infantry Museum on Harold Street, and from an Army Cadet contact.

Laureen Willmott collected and presented the historical research, whilst the rest of the group worked at the crafts, the presentation, the advertising and the organisation.

Visitor numbers were well and truly boosted after the exhibition was featured on Central News on its third day!

Visitors were amazed at the amount of detail shown, and many came more than once to take everything in.
